Thunder and Lightning as you arrive
at a wedding venue isn't the best of signs for the day ahead. The
stormy and imposing skies however provided an excellent backdrop for
some exterior shots of Hazlewood Castle before moving inside and
into the dry to photograph Stuart and Michelle's wedding day.
Entering the chapel for the wedding
blessing at 1330 we were sheltered under brollies, however on
leaving just after two the skies had broken and we were able to stay
outdoors in the sun. The respite was short lived and all too soon
the guests made a dash for cover as the rain began again. Thankfully
only a short cloudburst and we were soon out on the lawn again!
Following the wedding breakfast,
guests were entertained with a casino before the start of the
evening reception. Our evening finishing off just after ten thirty
with fireworks and a couple of night shots of Stuart and Michelle
around Hazlewood Castle grounds.
Craig and Kerry's Pre-wedding
shoot - Hodsock Priory near Blyth
The second wet pre-wedding shoot in a
week, talk about bad luck! This time I was at Hodsock Priory near
Blyth in north Nottinghamshire to meet up with Kerry and Craig in
preparation for their August wedding.
Jon and Sarah added: Just wanted to
say we had a great time at our pre wedding shoot and we
both love the pictures!

Gareth an Chanel's wedding -
Hazlewood Castle York
Following a civil ceremony Gareth and
Chanel had their wedding blessing at Hazlewood Castle on Saturday.
Following the wedding blessing in the Chapel of St Leonard's, the
guests remained seated for the baptism of their son Reece.
Following the blessing and Baptism
guests were presented with gift tins before a mass balloon release
in the courtyard. Gareth and Chanels' brief had been very
straightforward, lots of informal and natural images to record their
day with just a few posed and family images.
Following the wedding breakfast
guests were entertained with a casino, sweet shop and fairground
mirrors before the start of the evening reception at 8PM which
started off with a dance performance by three Bollywood Dancers. A
surprise for the guests were Gareth and Chanel's inclusion in this
routine after a lot of practice and rehearsals, the couple took to
the dance floor for a very different first dance. The evening was
ended with a firework display on the lawn.
August 2009's Wedding ideas magazine
features photographs of Jonnie and Jessie's wedding from
Waterton Park last year. The six page feature includes
lots of my photographs taken on the day and about me they say
"Chris Chambers was absolutely fantastic - Professional and
very approachable. We feel very lucky to have found him."
Thanks Jessie!

Jon and Vicky's wedding at Walton
Hall at Waterton Park Wakefield
Jon and Vicky married in a civil
ceremony at Waterton Park near Wakefield on Friday. Although a
little overcast to begin the day the late afternoon brought clearer
skies and excellent news for the photos, some bright and low
sunshine.
Scott and Louise's wedding, Walton
Hall at Waterton Park
A civil ceremony at Walton Hall today
for the wedding of Scott and Louise. Thankfully the weather just
about held off whilst at the same time providing some stunning
and threatening skies for backdrops to a number of their wedding
photographs.
Laura Added:
Pictures are fantastic, it'll be hard for them to choose!
Scott and Louise
added: Thank you for everything you did, the photos are
fantastic, we really love them and everyone is commenting on
how good they are.

Paul and Vicky's wedding, Wragby
Church at Nostell Priory to Burntwood Court
Paul and Vicky married Saturday at
Wragby Church within the grounds of Nostell Priory before
celebrating at Burntwood Court Hotel. Normally the use of Nostell
Priory for wedding photographs is not allowed (unless you are having
a wedding ceremony in the main house itself), however we managed to
arranged for permission and so we stopped off enroute to Burntwood
Court for photographs in front of the main building.
The following clip features some of the wedding
images from the day as used on the evening big screen.
Nick and Dane's wedding at
Allerton Castle North Yorkshire
A wet one forecast today for Nick and
Danae's wedding at Allerton Castle in North Yorkshire. The day
started at nearby
Rudding Park where
Danae and her bridesmaids were preparing for the big day with hair
and make up before moving onto Allerton Castle just before Lunchtime
for the finishing touches.
With a civil ceremony in the
fantastically grand main hall, Dane and her mum swept down the
staircase without so much as a stutter to the very apt lyrics of
'Going to the castle and we're gonna get married' a slight twist on
the song 'Chapel of Love'. (Every Allerton Castle bride knows,
getting down the main staircase makes them more nervous than the
actual wedding itself!).
During the ceremony Chris the best
man stood to deliver the rings and performed the usual tapping of
pockets and shrugging of shoulders before winking, turning around
and whistling whilst holding out his left hand which had acquired a
falconers glove. On his command a white Barn Owl swooped down from
on high flying low down the aisle to deliver the rings, a great
surprise for the guests and especially for Danae. Thankfully I was
aware of the event and so was ready to catch the moment for the
wedding album.
With the rain beating down we were
forced to shoot indoors for a while, however a slight let up at
around 9PM allowed us to quickly venture outside for a few photos of
Nick and Dane and the bridal party. Following a few after dark
photographs just before eleven I bid Nick and Danae farewell and
wished them well on their honeymoon to Kenya. Lucky so and so's!
The following features a selection of the sixty or so images we used
on the big screen playing during the evening reception. (I've added
the after dark ones to complete the day).
