Nick and Nina's wedding at
Allerton Castle North Yorkshire
Nick and Nina married on Friday at
Goldsborough Church in North Yorkshire before celebrating at
Allerton Castle between Harrogate and York.
Although the day started with mixed
weather, by the time we arrived at church the sun was breaking
through and afforded some excellent light to work with. An ever
threatening sky in the afternoon adding some drama to the shots in
the cornfield before finally arriving at Allerton Castle.
With the sky clearing the promise of
a good sunset was on the cards and thankfully it didn't disappoint,
after the wedding breakfast we managed to go back outside and shoot
Nick and Nina set against a great setting sun.

Cat Added: A lad at
work is interested in you for his wedding, so thought I'd have
a look! Fantastic! I really like the compositions, and how
you're out of the ordinary with shots in puddles - if I wasn't
already married, I would use you myself! |

Kerry and Craig's wedding Hodsock
Priory
|
Craig and Kerry
chose Hodsock Priory for their wedding on Sunday. We arrived at
Kerry’s parent’s house early morning for some photographs of Kerry
and her bridesmaids preparations before continuing on to Hodsock
Priory to catch up with Craig and the groomsmen.
With blue skies
Kerry and her father arrived in an open top Horse and Carriage, the
carriage looking superb as it swept into the courtyard delivering
Kerry for her wedding ceremony which took place in the wedding hall.
Following the
ceremony Craig and Kerry were taken on a short drive in the
carriage, an ideal opportunity for us to shoot the guests relaxing
in the drinks reception to the accompaniment of a steel band. Some
family groups out of the way we took a walk around the grounds for
some photos of Kerry and Craig using Hodsock Priory’s excellent
grounds and of course the building as a back drop.
Speeches first
allowed plenty of time for sorting the images to be used on the
screen display during the evening reception and following the
wedding breakfast we took Craig and Kerry upstairs for a few more
quick photos before the evening reception began.
The screen went
down well with the guests and more importantly Kerry and Craig were
delighted with the images shown. We ended the evening with some
night shots of the couple under the archway to the gatehouse.

August 11th
2009
Summer 2010 now
fully booked. (Spring, Autumn and Winter now very limited
availability)
Each year I
limit myself to a maximum number of weddings and am now fast
approaching that number of wedding bookings for 2010.
By placing a limit on the number of weddings I shoot each year I can
ensure that the level of service to each bride and groom is
consistently high. Unlike a lot of other photographers I only
photograph one wedding per day and anyone booking me for their
wedding is safe in the knowledge that I am the main photographer and
the one who will attend on the day. unlike lots of other
photographers and companies, I don't farm jobs out to other
people working on my behalf. I am now only ten bookings away from
reaching my limit and closing the diary.
The summer books out
the fastest and as a result I am no longer taking new bookings for
weddings between May and September 2010. Wedding dates from
January to April and October to December are still available, but
with very limited availability.

Andrew and Sally's wedding at
Rogerthorpe Manor near Pontefract
What a weekend, excellent weather
three days running, it must be summer! An early start on Sunday for
Andrew and Sally's wedding at Rogerthorpe Manor near Pontefract.
With a wedding ceremony at 1130 I was at Sally's house almost before
breakfast for preparation photos before the wedding.
With the ceremony over and a few
glasses of fizz consumed (that'll be the bride and groom not me) we
quickly rolled into photos including a sort trip out from
Rogerthorpe Manor for some photographs in nearby a corn field.

Charlotte and Anthony's wedding at
Allerton Castle, North Yorkshire
Charlotte and Anthony married on
Saturday at Allerton Castle in North Yorkshire. Excellent weather
and Allerton Castle's spectacular backdrop made for a perfect day
for Charlotte and Anthony and ensured we came away with plenty of
photographs.
Following the wedding breakfast and
with the sun dropping low in the sky we made our way back out into
the grounds for some low light images before the first dance. The
evening ended with a firework display for the guests on the front
lawn.

Lynsey and Paul's wedding at Aston
Hall near Chesterfield
Aston Hall between Sheffield and
Chesterfield was the venue for today's wedding between Linsey and
Paul. Marrying in the church right next to the hotel it was only a
short walk back to the reception venue where the guests were waiting
to greet them.
With excellent weather everyone was
outside and in good spirits making photos a relative breeze.

Gill and Adam's wedding - The
Huntsman Holmfirth
It rained and when it rains in
Holmfirth it really rains! With the weather conspiring against us we
were forced to shoot indoors for most of the day, finally managing
to nip outside after 7Pm for some more photographs. Spirits
certainly weren't dampened and thanks to the staff at the Huntsmen
we were able to make full use of the hotel.
