October 25th 2009  Wedding Fayres

Thank you to all those who stopped to chat at the recent wedding fayres at Hazlewood Castle, Allerton Castle and Kings Croft. The last week or  has been the busiest ever for new wedding bookings, over a nine day period I made 12 new bookings for weddings in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013!

Allerton Castle have confirmed their next wedding experience will be held on February 21st  2010.

October 18th 2009  Michala and Matt's wedding at Crab Manor, Asenby North Yorkshire

Michala and Matt were married on Sunday afternoon at Crab Manor in Asenby North Yorkshire. The ceremony took place in the very bright conservatory before guests enjoyed a drinks reception outside, the weather thankfully staying dry and remaining reasonably warm for late November. Michala and Matt had chosen Crab manor for it's intimate nature and with less than forty guests they had plenty of time for chatting to everyone whilst candids were shot.

A few group photographs out of the way and we headed down onto the tiered gardens that sit between Crab Manor and the Crab and Lobster restaurant for some time with just Michala and Matt. An early finish today as the evening reception will actually be held next week at Walton Hall....

Iain and Joanne's wedding Oulton Hall near Leeds

Occasionally you don't get to shoot at a venue for a few months or longer and then you are there several times in a short space of time, this was the case on Saturday as once again I was back at Oulton Hall for the wedding of Iain and Joanne. Although bright, the day was quite breezy and following the civil ceremony in the Repton Room we headed around the side of the hotel to shelter from the strong westerly wind. Thankfully Oulton Hall has plenty of great areas tucked away and well sheltered.

The wedding breakfast was held in the Repton room and the bride and groom were greeted into the room by cheers from the guests wielding sparklers.

October 2nd 2009 

Nick and Karen's wedding Hazlewood Castle near York

Nick and Karen married on Friday at Hazlewood Castle. Following their intimate civil ceremony the happy couple walked down the aisle of St Leonard's chapel together for their wedding blessing conducted by a RAF Padre from Karen's home base near Lincoln. Leaving the chapel Nick and Karen were greeted by the traditional sword party.

The brief for the day was for predominantly candid and natural images dispensing with as many of the formals as possible.
