Mark and Joanne's wedding St Mary's Garforth to Wood Hall Hotel and Spa near Wetherby

Only a few weeks since their pre-wedding shoot it was familiar territory on Saturday when I joined Joanne and her Bridesmaids during their pre wedding hair and make up session. Mark and Joanne married at St Mary's Church in Garforth before celebrating at the wonderful Wood Hall Hotel near Wetherby.

With the majority of the formal photographs taking place outside St Mary's church, on arrival at Wood Hall guests had plenty of time to chat and enjoy the champagne. The car driver was superb and we can only apologise to all those who sere stuck as we blocked the lane for some photos of the couple, the car and Wood Hall in the distance. Thankfully they were wedding guests!

Guests at the wedding were Dale and Sophie whose wedding I photographed in August 2007 and who recommended me to Joanne and Mark, it was good to see them looking so happy together and also meet the new addition to their family, young Alfie.

So close to Christmas and rather chilly outside, an obvious theme presented itself in the decor of the wedding breakfast room, stationery, jewellery and cufflinks. I'm sure I went to sleep on Saturday night dreaming of snowflakes!
